The girls from Newark traveled to fellow conference school, LaMoille, on Thursday night. With a 73-game winning streak in the regular season of the Little 10 conference on the line, the Norsemen did their job to secure #74 with convincing victories, 25-8, 25-5.
Mattie Chapman led the way with 9 kills and a solo block while Naomi Sweeney had 6 kills. Sweeney was perfect from the service line and slipped in an ace. Taylor Christian finger-pushed 21 assists during the 33-minute match. Megan Williams slapped down 6 kills as well. Cassidy Adams was superb tonight, serving 10 for 10 with 2 aces. Morgan Long also served 100% tonight, putting 6 serves in a row and scoring an ace. The Lady Norsemen are now 11-0 and will have the weekend off.
