After almost 10 years, the Newark Lady Norsemen have won their 75th regular-season conference victory in a row after a two-set win against the visiting Timberwolves of Indian Creek. When the final kill was punched down, the match was scored as 25-18, 25-17 for the home team. Newark is now 13-0.
Madi Malone led the way with 10 kills, while the other outside hitter, Megan Williams, smashed down 6. Naomi Sweeney added 4 kills while junior setter Taylor Christian had 21 assists on the two-set win. Newark will compete against Earlville in Red Raider country on Thursday and then head to the Mount Pulaski Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
